Wine Pairings: Jamaican Menu

  Each month in the Restaurant at Michael's On East, the culinary team creates unique two-course lunch and three-course dinner menus inspired by exotic food and wine destinations. This August, an Epicurean Adventure to Jamaica is offered, August 3 - 31, 2015. Our wine specialists have selected the following wines to be paired with this speciality menu, for a limited time only. The wine pairings are available for $5 during lunch or $10 during dinner with each Epicurean Adventure menu in the Restaurant. Enjoy! White Wine Pairing:

Winemaker’s Notes: Inky in color, our 2013 Petite Sirah is brimming with aromatics; wisteria blossom, cherries and crème brulée perforate the senses. Dense flavors of milk chocolate, blueberry and clove mingle harmoniously to create this deep, rich and expressive wine. Spending nearly fourteen months in 90% French oak, the presence of a vanilla core is undeniable. Together these dark fruit flavors, spice notes and floral aromatics create a wonderfully refined glass of wine with a polished finish.
