Held annually in the downtown Sarasota area for 18 years, in 2017 the event moved to nearby Lakewood Ranch and in 2018 it returns to downtown Sarasota for the Block Party and moves to the Sarasota County Fairgrounds for the two day festival part of the event.

A list of the 2018 Events Schedule is below including the live music rundown.

The festival now attracts, it has been reported, upwards of 40,000 fun and friendly revelers to the 4 day celebration. It’s also a more well mannered and refined event than, say, the annual raucous bike week that Daytona hosts every year. And most years the festival takes place under sunny skies with near 80 degree temperatures. That makes it a fun outdoor event here on the Sarasota sun coast

Suncoast Charities for Children is a 501(c)(3) that provides annual grants to the Suncoast Foundation in support of children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families. Did you know?
  • The Suncoast Foundation has constructed buildings valued at over $20 Million dollars in the Sarasota, Venice, and North Port area. These buildings are occupied by four local non-profit agencies.
  • Non-profit agencies which occupy these buildings include The Haven (Sarasota), The Florida Center For Early Childhood (Sarasota & North Port), Children First (Venice), and Sarasota County Special Olympics (Venice). These non-profit agencies experience a significant savings with an annual lease payment of only $1 per year on each building. Loveland Village in Venice also receives support.
  • Over the past three years (2013 – 2016), Suncoast Charities for Children has provided $414,000 in grant money to the Suncoast Foundation, so that necessary repairs and improvements could be made to these aging campus locations. This allows program and service money to remain untouched and be directed to clients who need it the most.
  • Services provided by these local non-profit agencies annual impacts approximately 8,000 children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families.
